Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan
(ICSHRA) was founded by a group of independent human rights activists, emerging from civil society organizations and women's protest movements. ACSHRO is a transnational network of Afghan activists in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran. We focus on defending human rights, promoting social justice, fostering lasting peace, and combating extremism.
Under the challenging Taliban rule, ACSHRO addresses critical issues such as women's rights, supporting ethnic and religious minorities, and upholding universal human rights values. Through advocacy programs, we fight systematic oppression, violence, and injustice, amplify the voices of the oppressed to the world, and foster international awareness and solidarity.
Our organization stands against extremism, discrimination, oppression, and violence by implementing programs in advocacy, documentation, human rights education, and community empowerment. We believe that lasting peace is impossible without justice, accountability, and the active participation of all segments of society.
