Global Social Development Meeting – Doha, Qatar | 6 November 2025
Farideh Raqi Sufi-Zadeh, a member of the leadership of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan (ICSHRA), and Yasmin Nabi-Zadeh, Head of the Women’s Committee of the organization, participated in this international conference representing Afghanistan. Both traveled from Pakistan to Qatar to attend the event.
The Global Social Development Meeting in Doha, organized by the United Nations, began on Monday, 4 November, and continues to be held. This event, convened for the second time in three decades, brought together presidents, ministers, diplomats, journalists, and human rights defenders from around the world to discuss global challenges and exchange solutions for international cooperation. The main session ran from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, alongside several parallel sessions for in-depth discussions.
As the Taliban has no international legitimacy, no representatives from the self-proclaimed Afghan government were invited. Consequently, Afghanistan’s official seat remained vacant. However, ICSHRA members took responsibility for filling this gap, raising the voice of the Afghan people and human rights defenders at the global level.
During the meeting, Farideh Raqi Sufi-Zadeh and Yasmin Nabi-Zadeh emphasized the urgent need for the international community to address human rights violations in Afghanistan. They highlighted the importance of protecting women, children, and vulnerable groups, and of establishing practical mechanisms to tackle humanitarian and social crises in the country.
Their presence demonstrated that even in the absence of official government representatives, civil society activists can ensure Afghanistan’s voice is heard and its seat is not left empty. ICSHRA’s active participation in such forums sends a clear message of Afghan civil society’s commitment to justice, freedom, and human rights, and its efforts to garner global support amid ongoing crises and repression.
This meeting also provided an opportunity for international organizations and participating countries to engage with Afghan human rights defenders and reaffirm their commitment to improving human rights and humanitarian conditions in Afghanistan. The actions taken today exemplify the vital role of ICSHRA in the international arena and the need for continuous support for human rights activists in politically and socially crisis-stricken countries.

نشست جهانی توسعه اجتماعی – دوحه، قطر | ۶ نوامبر ۲۰۲۵
فریده راقی صوفیزاده، عضو رهبری نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان (ICSHRA)، و یاسمین نبیزاده، مسئول کمیته زنان نهاد، به نمایندگی از افغانستان در این اجلاس بینالمللی شرکت نمودند. هر دو از پاکستان به قطر سفر کرده و در نشست حضور داشتند.
نشست جهانی توسعه اجتماعی در دوحه، به میزبانی سازمان ملل برگزار شد و از روز دوشنبه، ۴ نوامبر آغاز گردید و همچنان در حال برگزاری است. این رویداد که برای دومین بار طی سه دهه برگزار میشود، رؤسای جمهور، وزرا، دیپلماتها، خبرنگاران و مدافعان حقوق بشر را گرد هم آورده تا درباره چالشهای جهانی و راهکارهای همکاری بینالمللی تبادل نظر کنند. نشست اصلی از ساعت ۹ صبح تا ۴ بعدازظهر برگزار شد و چندین جلسه فرعی هم بهصورت همزمان برای بحثهای عمیقتر برگزار گردید.
از آنجا که طالبان مشروعیت بینالمللی ندارد، هیچ نمایندهای از دولت خودخوانده افغانستان دعوت نشده بود و کرسی رسمی افغانستان بدون نماینده باقی مانده بود. با این حال، اعضای ICSHRA مسئولیت پر کردن این خلا را بر عهده گرفتند و صدای مردم افغانستان و مدافعان حقوق بشر را در سطح جهانی مطرح کردند.
در این نشست، فریده راقی صوفیزاده و یاسمین نبیزاده بر ضرورت فوری توجه جامعه بینالمللی به وضعیت حقوق بشر در افغانستان تأکید کردند. آنان اهمیت حمایت از زنان، کودکان و گروههای آسیبپذیر و همچنین ایجاد راهکارهای عملی برای مقابله با بحرانهای انسانی و اجتماعی در افغانستان را برجسته ساختند.
این اقدام نشان داد که حتی در غیاب نمایندگان رسمی دولت، فعالان جامعه مدنی قادرند صدای مردم افغانستان را به گوش جهانیان برسانند و کرسی کشور را خالی نگذارند. حضور فعال ICSHRA در چنین اجلاسهایی پیام روشنی از پایبندی جامعه مدنی افغانستان به اصول عدالت، آزادی و حقوق انسانی و تلاش برای جلب حمایت جهانی در شرایط بحرانی و سرکوبهای مداوم است.
این نشست همچنین فرصتی بود تا نهادهای بینالمللی و کشورهای شرکتکننده با مدافعان حقوق بشر افغانستان ارتباط برقرار کرده و تعهد خود را برای حمایت از حقوق بشر و بهبود شرایط انسانی در کشور تأیید کنند. اقدامات امروز نمونه روشنی از اهمیت نقش ICSHRA در عرصه بینالمللی و ضرورت حمایت مستمر از فعالان حقوق بشر در کشورهای بحرانزده سیاسی و انسانی است.
