Ezatullah Bakhshi

Ezatullah Bakhshi was born in 1997 in Parwan Province, Afghanistan. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law and Political Science from Parwan University. Since his student years, he has actively engaged in civil and human rights work, focusing on social justice, women's rights, minority protection, and fundamental freedoms.
In 2018, he was appointed as the Provincial Head of the "Committed Youth Organization of Afghanistan" in Parwan. In 2019, he co-founded the Social Council for People's Unity in Parwan and served as a leadership member and media officer. In 2020, he founded and led the Civil Society Institutions of Parwan Province.
Following the fall of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2021 and the escalation of systematic human rights violations by the Taliban, Bakhshi emerged as a prominent human rights defender. In 2023, he founded the “Civil Society and Human Rights Institutions of Afghanistan” with the mission to document human rights violations, support victims, and amplify the voice of civil society inside and outside the country.
On 25 June 2023, due to his peaceful human rights activities, he was arrested by Taliban intelligence and endured several days of detention and torture before being released on bail. He was then forced to flee the country and sought asylum in Pakistan.
While in Pakistan, Bakhshi continued his activism by leading public protests and awareness campaigns in support of refugees, at-risk activists, and Afghan women. He has actively worked in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, and Turkey in the areas of documentation, advocacy, and grassroots mobilization for the protection of human rights.
He is an official member of the International Peace Bureau (IPB), an executive member of the Pakistan International Human Rights Organization (PIHRO), and is connected with several international organizations that support human rights defenders.
Ezatullah Bakhshi remains firmly committed to the principles of universal human rights. As a voice for victims of violence, discrimination, and repression, he continues his peaceful struggle to connect local efforts with the global human rights movement and to advance peace, justice, and human dignity.

Khan Mohammad Furmoly, a dedicated human rights advocate, was born in 1992 in Urgun District, Paktika Province, Afghanistan. He completed his primary, secondary, and high school education in Ghazni Province with outstanding performance, graduating with honors in 2010. In 2014, he received his Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics from Ghazni University.
With a deep commitment to human rights values and the principles of civil society, Mr. Furmoly has carried out extensive and impactful efforts across various sectors. His professional experience and key leadership roles include:
Founder and Director of the Bridge of Awareness Organization, dedicated to promoting social awareness and human rights values;
Collaboration with the Manar Civil Society Organization in Ghazni Province;
Voluntary service at the Lincoln Course in Ghazni.
Mr. Furmoly’s areas of specialization and professional focus include:
Promoting and protecting women's rights;
Advocacy for the rights of children and youth;
Conducting public awareness campaigns on human rights issues;

Farida Raqi Sofi Zada

Farida Raqi Sofi Zada, born in 1989 in Afghanistan, is one of the prominent lawyers and tireless defenders of women's rights. She completed her higher education in Law (Judiciary and Prosecution) at Khwaja Abdullah Ansari University in Herat. After completing her legal internship, she obtained her official attorney license from the Afghanistan Bar Association and established her own law firm (Ebtehaj Law Office), where she has actively worked in defense of human rights.
Ms. Sofi Zada has over two decades of continuous experience in advocacy for women, children, and vulnerable groups, as well as in the defense of social justice. Throughout her professional career, she has held key positions, including Official Attorney at the Afghanistan Bar Association, Head of the Women’s Department at Nabi Rahmat Charity Foundation, Deputy Director of the National Uprising Organization, and Supervisor of Development Programs (SDP) in Herat Province.
She has played a significant role in awareness-raising and women’s empowerment projects through collaboration with civil society organizations and media outlets such as Mediothek Afghanistan, and has actively participated in support programs for women’s rights and street children.
Currently, Farida Raqi Sofizada serves as the Head of the Spokesperson and Legal Departments at the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan (ICSHRA). With her commitment and expertise, she continues to play a vital role in promoting human rights, advancing justice, and supporting human values.

Yasamin Yaqin Nabizada

Yasamin Yaqin Nabizada, born in 1990 in Balkh Province, Afghanistan, is a dedicated and hardworking woman active in the fields of education and civil society. She completed her higher education in Education up to the Master’s level at Balkh University and has over 10 years of formal experience in teaching and educational management. She has served in various positions, including School Principal and Deputy for Educational Affairs at the Balkh Directorate of Education.
In addition to her educational career, Ms. Nabizada has made significant contributions to civil society. Her civic engagements include serving in leadership roles within the Women’s Leadership Council of Balkh Youth, Chairperson of the Women’s Committee of Balkh Province, member of the Afghanistan People's Council, member of the Balkh Civil Society Union, the Human Rights Defenders Committee of Afghanistan, and organizations supporting journalists.
She has also collaborated as an honorary trainer with international organizations such as UNICEF, ACTED, AWEC, Geneva Call, and EPDO, focusing on women’s and teachers' empowerment. Furthermore, she has actively participated in humanitarian aid initiatives, protection of vulnerable groups, and efforts against violence and forced marriages.
Currently, Yasamin Yaqin Nabizada serves as the Head of the Women’s Committee at the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan (ICSHRA), playing an active and inspiring role in promoting human values, social justice, and the protection of women’s and children's rights.

Amanullah Jasoor Yousufi

Amanullah Jasoor Yousufi was born on May 5, 1994, in Panjshir Province, Afghanistan. He successfully completed his primary, secondary, and high school education at Malek Marzai Shaheed High School and was subsequently admitted to the Faculty of Education at Parwan University, majoring in Physics. He graduated with top honors as the first-ranked student in his field.
With a strong commitment to human rights values and the principles of civil society, Mr. Yousufi has carried out extensive and effective activities across various sectors. His professional background and leadership roles include:
Administrative and Human Resources Manager at the Electoral Affairs Directorate of the Independent Election Commission;
Lecturer at teacher training centers, science centers, and public and private universities;
Leadership Member of the Cultural Committee at Parwan University;
Member of the Civil Society Network of Panjshir Province;
Volunteer in the Human Rights section of the UNAMA office;
Faculty Member at the Faculty of Education of the Women’s Online University.

Basira Hemat

Basira Hemat was born in 1997 in Kabul, Afghanistan. She successfully completed her primary, secondary, and high school education at Shamsul Mashaikh High School in District 5 of Kabul. She then pursued higher education in Dari Language and Literature at the Faculty of Education, Kabul Education University (Ustad Burhanuddin Rabbani University), graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2017 (1396 in the Afghan calendar).
With a strong commitment to human rights, gender justice, and civic engagement, Ms. Hemat has been actively involved in various social, educational, and women’s rights initiatives. Her professional and civil society experience includes:
Human Resources Officer at the Afghan Red Crescent Society;
Trainer and field collaborator with FEFA (Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan) in women’s empowerment programs across provinces;
Active member of the Women and Youth Committee of the Youth Organization of Jamiat-e-Islami Afghanistan;
Gender officer at the Ministry of Martyrs and Disabled;
Teacher at a private school in Kabul.
Currently, Basira Hemat serves as the in-country representative of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan (ICSHRA).

Mursal Adeeb

Mursal Adeeb, born in Balkh province and currently residing in Australia, is a dedicated and active figure in the field of human rights and social justice. She holds a 14-grade diploma in Business Administration and has years of professional experience in education and human rights sectors.
Ms. Adeeb worked for over four years as a project coordinator with the international organization ZOA International. Her projects focused on capacity building, awareness-raising, and women’s empowerment, playing a significant role in promoting gender equality and advocating for women's rights in Afghanistan.
Currently, Mursal Adeeb serves as the representative of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan (ICSHRA) in Australia.

Shakiba Haidari

Shakiba Haidari, holding a bachelor’s degree in Business Management, is a dedicated activist in the fields of women's rights, education, and social empowerment in both Afghanistan and Iran.
She served for eight years as a supervisor at FINCA, a microfinance institution that provided small loans to women to help them start or expand economic activities such as tailoring, embroidery, hand-weaving, and carpet weaving.
In addition, Shakiba Haidari worked for five years as the director of a kindergarten named “Mehr-e-Madar,” where she played a vital role in supporting early childhood education.
She also served for four years as a member and head of the Women's Department of the Stability Youth Organization of Afghanistan, working to empower young women and promote their active role in society.
Following the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan, Ms. Haidari migrated to Iran to protect her life and has since continued her civil society activism in exile.
Currently, Shakiba Haidari serves as the Head of the Gender Committee for the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan (ICSHRA) in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, where she actively advocates for the rights of women, Afghan migrants, and vulnerable communities.

Nasir Ahmad Bakhshi

Nasir Ahmad Bakhshi, born on June 4, 1995, in Parwan province, is one of Afghanistan’s dedicated and active young individuals in the fields of social engagement and human rights. He is currently a student of Law and Political Science and works with strong motivation and passion to promote justice, awareness, and social empowerment.
Mr. Bakhshi is an active member of the Youth Union of Afghanistan and has played a significant role in participatory programs, awareness campaigns, and advocacy movements. He was also actively involved in the population census project in Parwan province, where he contributed to data collection and statistical analysis in cooperation with local authorities.
At present, Nasir Ahmad Bakhshi serves as the official representative of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan (ICSHRA) in France. He works actively and consistently in the defense of human rights, the support of Afghan migrants, and the promotion of democratic values.

Mr. Hashimi worked with civil organizations in Balkh province, focusing on child education, organizing educational seminars, and participating in humanitarian efforts. After graduation, he continued his work in Kabul with the civil society organization "JUMP – Afghan Youth" and served in various educational centers as a teacher and administrative and financial officer. He also worked for one year in the financial management department of the ELCLC Educational Center.

Khushta Saeedi

Khushta Saeedi, born on August 20, 2002 (29 Asad 1381) in Afghanistan, is one of the motivated and committed young individuals who has turned to civil society engagement with a deep interest in human rights, social justice, and supporting vulnerable communities.
She successfully completed her high school education in 2019 (1398) and currently resides in Switzerland, where she actively contributes to supporting Afghan migrants and promoting human rights alongside her educational pursuits.
Currently, Khushta Saeedi serves as the Representative of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan in Switzerland, striving to amplify the voices of Afghan women, youth, and migrants in civil and human rights platforms, and to advance solidarity, awareness, and justice.

Freshta Bahadur Shah Khil

Freshta Bahadur Shah Khil is a dedicated human rights advocate, educator, and youth leader with a strong background in education, technology, and social justice. She currently serves as the Country Representative and Official of the International Civil Society and Human Rights Institutions of Afghanistan (ICSHRA) in Canada, and also holds the position of Strategic Lead at the Al Amanah Nonprofit Organization, where she leads the design and implementation of initiatives aimed at empowering Afghan girls through education and innovation.
Her extensive experience includes teaching at educational institutions, mentoring robotics teams, and participating in Doha Debates, United Nations seminars, and global leadership programs. She has also been actively involved in volunteer work in the fields of education and advocacy, and has been recognized as a “Global Youth Leader” by the WOW Foundation. Her efforts are driven by a deep passion for expanding educational access, particularly for marginalized youth in conflict-affected areas.

Ahmad Mojtaba Mohammadi

Ahmad Mojtaba Mohammadi, born in 1996, is a prominent figure in the fields of human rights, youth activism, and civil society in Afghanistan. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law and Political Science from Danesh University.
In 2017, along with a group of his fellow students, he founded an organization titled the “Youth Association for the Peace Process of Parwan,” where he served first as a leadership member and later as the spokesperson. Continuing his civil engagement, in 2019 he became the spokesperson of the “Council of People’s Unity of Parwan” and in 2020, was appointed as the Head of the Youth Committee of the “United Civil Society Institutions Council.”
He has played an influential role in advocating for justice, promoting human rights, and mobilizing youth. His efforts have been recognized and praised by various official and civil institutions.
Currently, Ahmad Mojtaba Mohammadi serves as the Head and Representative of the Civil Society and Human Rights Institutions of Afghanistan in Tehran, Iran, where he continues to actively support human rights advocacy and the strengthening of civil society.

Hamidullah Kashkaki

Hamidullah Kashkaki, born on July 3, 1982, in Kabul Province, is an experienced and dedicated figure in Afghan politics, local governance, and human rights advocacy. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Law from Iqra University in Pakistan, from which he graduated in 2011.
From 2006 to 2009, he served as the District Governor of Muqur and Zankhan districts in Ghazni Province, where he played a key role in local administration and community development. Between 2013 and March 2022, he worked as an advisor to the Chief Executive Office and later to the High Council for National Reconciliation of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, contributing to major political and peace processes.
Since 1998, Mr. Kashkaki has been serving as the Deputy Leader of the National Moderation Party. In addition to his political roles, he has been actively engaged in human rights initiatives, including documenting human rights violations, supporting war victims, and defending civil liberties.
Currently, Hamidullah Kashkaki serves as a Leadership Member of the Civil Society and Human Rights Institutions of Afghanistan (ICSHRA), where he continues to advocate for social justice, human rights, and the empowerment of civil society through tireless and impactful efforts.
