Resolution on International Mother Language Day

Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan and the Global Campaign to Stop Forced Deportations of Afghan Refugees held a session to commemorate International Mother Language Day.
We, the participants of this session, gathered to emphasize the importance of preserving mother languages as one of the fundamental pillars of cultural, historical, and social identity in communities.
Given the current sensitive situation and threats to mother languages, especially Persian (Dari) and other local languages in Afghanistan and the region, we express our solidarity and declare the following as key demands and commitments:
Protection and Promotion of Mother Languages
Ensuring the preservation and promotion of all mother languages in Afghanistan.
Combating Linguistic Discrimination
Condemning any discriminatory policies that lead to the elimination or weakening of local languages in Afghanistan.
Education in Mother Language
Emphasizing the right to education in one’s mother language at all stages of learning.
Preservation and Documentation of Endangered Languages
Highlighting the importance of safeguarding languages that are at risk of disappearance.
We, the participants, stress that mother language is not merely a means of communication but a cultural and historical heritage, and its protection is a collective responsibility.
We call on all human rights organizations, media, governments, and international institutions to take serious measures to support linguistic rights for all ethnic and national groups.

Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan و کارزار جهانی منع اخراج اجباری مهاجرین افغانستان نشستی را به مناسبت روز جهانی زبان مادری برگزار کردند.
ما، شرکت‌کنندگان این نشست، گرد هم آمدیم تا بر اهمیت پاسداری از زبان‌های مادری به‌عنوان یکی از ارکان اصلی هویت فرهنگی، تاریخی و اجتماعی جوامع تأکید کنیم.
با توجه به شرایط حساس کنونی و تهدیداتی که علیه زبان‌های مادری، به ویژه فارسی (دری) و سایر زبان‌های بومی در افغانستان و منطقه وجود دارد، ما نکات زیر را به عنوان مطالبات و تعهدات اساسی خود اعلام می‌کنیم:
حفاظت و ترویج زبان‌های مادری
اطمینان از حفظ و ترویج تمام زبان‌های مادری در افغانستان.
مقابله با تبعیض زبانی
محکومیت هرگونه سیاست تبعیض‌آمیز زبانی که منجر به حذف یا تضعیف زبان‌های بومی در افغانستان شود.
حق آموزش به زبان مادری
تأکید بر حق آموزش به زبان مادری در تمامی مراحل تحصیلی.
حفظ و مستندسازی زبان‌های در معرض خطر
اهمیت حفاظت از زبان‌هایی که در معرض نابودی هستند.
ما تأکید می‌کنیم که زبان مادری تنها یک ابزار ارتباطی نیست، بلکه میراث فرهنگی و تاریخی است و حفاظت از آن وظیفه‌ای همگانی است.
از تمامی نهادهای حقوق بشری، رسانه‌ها، دولت‌ها و سازمان‌های بین‌المللی می‌خواهیم که با جدیت از حقوق زبانی اقوام و ملیت‌های مختلف حمایت کنند.
