Statement on the Advocacy Campaign for the Release of Imprisoned Journalists in Afghanistan!

The Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan (ICSHRA) announce that the advocacy campaign for the release of imprisoned journalists in Afghanistan, which was previously initiated by journalists, has also been supported by this institution, and advocacy efforts have been undertaken toward securing the release of detained journalists. This campaign has received broad support from human rights defenders, journalists, and civil society activists both inside and outside the country.

As part of this advocacy effort, more than 100 human rights defenders and journalists have joined the movement, calling for the immediate and unconditional release of Hamid Farhadi, Ahmad Shakib Nazari, and Bashir Hatef.
This advocacy initiative was launched in response to the detention of these journalists by the Taliban—an action that constitutes a clear violation of human rights, freedom of expression, and access to information, and has raised serious and growing concerns at both national and international levels regarding their situation.

The Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan emphasize that the expansion of this advocacy effort and the broad participation of civil and media activists reflect increasing concern over the systematic suppression of media, the imprisonment of journalists, and the restriction of freedom of expression in Afghanistan.

The Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan, together with more than 100 human rights defenders and journalists participating in this advocacy effort, strongly call upon the United Nations, particularly the Human Rights Council and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), as well as international media support organizations, including the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ), Reporters Without Borders (RSF), the International Federation of Journalists (IFJ), Human Rights Watch, and other relevant bodies, to:

*Take immediate, concrete, and effective measures to secure the release of these journalists
*Raise the issue of their detention in international forums with urgency
*Utilize all available diplomatic and legal mechanisms to exert pressure on the Taliban
*Strengthen international monitoring of the situation of journalists and detention facilities in Afghanistan

We also call on national and international media outlets to widely cover this advocacy effort and amplify the voices of imprisoned journalists to the global community and international institutions.

This advocacy effort has been strengthened by the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights in Afghanistan and has received broad support from human rights defenders and journalists.

اعلامیه در مورد کمپاین دادخواهی
برای آزادی خبرنگاران زندانی در افغانستان

نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان (ICSHRA) اعلام می‌دارند که کارزار دادخواهی برای آزادی خبرنگاران زندانی در افغانستان، که پیش‌تر از سوی خبرنگاران راه‌اندازی شده بود، از سوی این نهاد نیز مورد حمایت قرار گرفته و در راستای آزادی خبرنگاران زندانی، اقدامات دادخواهانه صورت گرفته است. این دادخواهی با استقبال گسترده مدافعان حقوق بشر، خبرنگاران و فعالان مدنی در داخل و خارج از کشور روبه‌رو شده است.

در چارچوب این دادخواهی، بیش از ۱۰۰ تن از مدافعان حقوق بشر و خبرنگاران با پیوستن به این حرکت، خواهان آزادی فوری و بدون قید و شرط خبرنگاران حمید فرهادی، احمد شکیب نظری و بشیر هاتف شده‌اند.

این دادخواهی در واکنش به بازداشت این خبرنگاران توسط گروه طالبان شکل گرفته است؛ اقدامی که نقض آشکار حقوق بشر، آزادی بیان و دسترسی به اطلاعات محسوب می‌شود و نگرانی‌های جدی و فزاینده‌ای را در سطح ملی و بین‌المللی درباره وضعیت این خبرنگاران ایجاد کرده است.
نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان تأکید می‌نمایند که گسترش این دادخواهی و پیوستن گسترده فعالان مدنی و رسانه‌ای، بیانگر افزایش نگرانی جامعه نسبت به سرکوب سیستماتیک رسانه‌ها، زندانی‌سازی خبرنگاران و محدودسازی آزادی بیان در افغانستان می‌باشد.

نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان و بیش از ۱۰۰ تن از مدافعان حقوق بشر و خبرنگاران که در این دادخواهی اشتراک داشته‌اند، به‌گونه جدی از سازمان ملل متحد، به‌ویژه شورای حقوق بشر و دفتر کمیساریای عالی حقوق بشر، و همچنان از نهادهای بین‌المللی حامی آزادی رسانه، از جمله کمیته حمایت از خبرنگاران (CPJ)، گزارشگران بدون مرز (RSF)، فدراسیون بین‌المللی خبرنگاران (IFJ)، دیدبان حقوق بشر و سایر نهادهای مرتبط، می‌خواهند تا:

*اقدامات فوری، عملی و مؤثر برای آزادی این خبرنگاران اتخاذ نمایند
*موضوع بازداشت خبرنگاران را در مجامع بین‌المللی به‌گونه جدی مطرح نمایند
*از تمامی ابزارهای دیپلوماتیک و حقوقی برای اعمال فشار بر گروه طالبان استفاده کنند
*نظارت بین‌المللی بر وضعیت خبرنگاران و زندان‌ها در افغانستان را تقویت نمایند.

همچنین از رسانه‌های داخلی و بین‌المللی خواسته می‌شود تا با پوشش گسترده این دادخواهی، صدای خبرنگاران زندانی را به گوش جهان و نهادهای بین‌المللی برسانند.
این دادخواهی از سوی نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان تقویت شده و تاکنون با حمایت گسترده مدافعان حقوق بشر و خبرنگاران همراه بوده است.
