Resolution of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan (ICSHRA)
On the Condemnation of Abida’s Self-Immolation and the Systematic Violation of Women’s Rights in Afghanistan
We, the members of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan (ICSHRA), strongly condemn the heartbreaking self-immolation of Abida, yet another victim of the Taliban’s misogynistic regime.
Abida, a young girl, set herself on fire in protest against a forced marriage to a Taliban member. This tragedy is not an isolated incident, but a direct consequence of the Taliban’s oppressive and misogynistic system, which systematically targets the dignity, freedom, and very lives of Afghan women.
We declare this incident a crime against humanity and affirm:
The Taliban regime bears direct responsibility for the death of Abida and hundreds of other female victims;
The silence and inaction of the international community in the face of these crimes is unacceptable and tantamount to complicity with human rights violators;
We demand the prosecution of Taliban leaders in the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity, particularly those committed against women and girls.
We declare that Abida’s voice will not be silenced.
Until justice is served and the suffering of Afghan women ends, we will not remain silent and will continue to resist.

در محکومیت خودسوزی عابده و نقض سیستماتیک حقوق زنان در افغانستان
ما، اعضای نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان (ICSHRA)، خودسوزی دلخراش عابده، یکی دیگر از قربانیان رژیم زنستیز طالبان، را بهشدت محکوم میکنیم.
عابده، دختری جوان، در اعتراض به ازدواج اجباری با یک عضو گروه طالبان، خود را به آتش کشید. این تراژدی نه یک حادثه فردی، بلکه پیامد مستقیم نظام سرکوبگر و زنستیز طالبان است که با سیاستهای سازمانیافته، کرامت، آزادی و حیات زنان افغانستان را هدف قرار داده است.
ما این رویداد را جنایتی علیه بشریت میدانیم و اعلام میکنیم:
۱. رژیم طالبان مسئول مستقیم مرگ عابده و صدها زن قربانی دیگر است؛
۲. سکوت و بیعملی جامعه جهانی در برابر این جنایات غیرقابل قبول بوده و به منزله همدستی با ناقضان حقوق بشر است؛
۳. ما خواستار محاکمه رهبران طالبان در دادگاه بینالمللی کیفری به اتهام جنایت علیه بشریت، بهویژه علیه زنان و دختران هستیم.
ما اعلام میکنیم که صدای عابده خاموش نخواهد شد.
تا تحقق عدالت و پایان رنج زنان افغانستان، سکوت نخواهیم کرد و به مقاومت ادامه خواهیم داد.
