Message from Human Rights Activists and Members of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan
To: International Human Rights Organizations, Freedom of Expression Advocates, and the Global Community
We, the members of the Institutions of Civil Society and Human Rights of Afghanistan, express our deep concern and strong condemnation regarding the unjust detention and imprisonment of Mr. Ahmad Mojtaba Mohammadi, human rights activist and leadership member of this organization, by the Taliban. This action is a blatant violation of all international human rights standards and principles.
We emphasize the following points:
The detention of Mr. Mohammadi constitutes a clear violation of freedom of expression and civil society activity, which are fundamental human rights.
This Taliban action is part of a systematic campaign of suppression against civil society activists and human rights defenders in Afghanistan.
Mr. Mohammadi has committed no crime; he has been detained solely for advocating justice, freedom, and the fundamental rights of the Afghan people.
His detention violates international instruments, particularly the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
We urge all international organizations, especially the United Nations Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and other defenders of freedom, to take immediate action for the unconditional release of Mr. Ahmad Mojtaba Mohammadi.
We call on independent media and civil society worldwide to highlight this issue and raise their voices against this injustice.
We warn that continued detention of human rights defenders by the Taliban will have irreparable consequences on human rights and humanitarian conditions in Afghanistan.
In conclusion, we declare, united and resolute:
We demand the immediate and unconditional release of Ahmad Mojtaba Mohammadi.
پیام فعالان حقوق بشر و اعضای نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان
به: سازمانهای بینالمللی حقوق بشر، نهادهای مدافع آزادی بیان و جامعه جهانی
ما، اعضای نهادهای جامعه مدنی و حقوق بشری افغانستان، با نگرانی عمیق و تأسف شدید، دستگیری و زندانی ساختن ناعادلانه آقای احمد مجتبی محمدی، فعال حقوق بشر و عضو رهبری این نهاد توسط گروه طالبان را محکوم میکنیم. این اقدام آشکارا برخلاف تمامی ارزشها و معیارهای بینالمللی حقوق بشر است.
ما بر نکات ذیل تأکید مینماییم:
بازداشت آقای محمدی نقض آشکار آزادی بیان و فعالیتهای مدنی است که از حقوق بنیادین هر انسان به شمار میرود.
این اقدام طالبان بخشی از سیاست سرکوبگرانه علیه فعالان مدنی و مدافعان حقوق بشر در افغانستان است.
آقای محمدی هیچ جرمی مرتکب نشده و تنها به دلیل دادخواهی برای عدالت، آزادی و حقوق اساسی مردم افغانستان بازداشت شده است.
بازداشت و زندانی ساختن ایشان نقض اسناد بینالمللی بهویژه اعلامیه جهانی حقوق بشر و میثاق بینالمللی حقوق مدنی و سیاسی میباشد.
ما از تمامی سازمانهای بینالمللی، بهویژه شورای حقوق بشر سازمان ملل متحد، عفو بینالملل، دیدبان حقوق بشر و سایر نهادهای مدافع آزادی، میخواهیم تا بهگونه فوری برای آزادی بدون قید و شرط آقای احمد مجتبی محمدی اقدام نمایند.
از رسانههای آزاد و جامعه مدنی جهان میخواهیم تا این موضوع را بازتاب داده و صدای اعتراض خود را علیه این ظلم و بیعدالتی بلند کنند.
ما هشدار میدهیم که ادامه بازداشت فعالان حقوق بشر توسط طالبان، پیامدهای جبرانناپذیری بر وضعیت حقوق بشری و انسانی در افغانستان خواهد داشت.
در پایان، ما یکصدا و قاطعانه اعلام میکنیم:
آزادی فوری احمد مجتبی محمدی را خواهانیم.
مجتبی محمدی باید بیدرنگ و بدون قید و شرط آزاد گردد.
